Foundation Services

The Admin team are here to offer the following services to both external and internal clients. We provide in house admin support to all of the Foundation projects across a variety of subjects. The admin/reception team are here to help learners, staff and members of the public.

We have a minibus and a van available for community use. Donations welcome.

The Concourse area is a community space open to use for internal and external groups. There is a new information centre with a large selection of leaflets, which are updated regularly. There is also a small library of business magazines available for users, staff and members of the public.

Foundation Room Hire

We have rooms for hire most weekdays and evenings (occasional weekend use by special arrangement). Please note the use of alcohol and smoking is not permitted in the building.

The costs are per room and per session (3hours):

Voluntary / Charity organisations: £15.00 + VAT

Commercial organisations: £20.00 + VAT

Description of Ground floor Rooms

The small meeting room will seat 8 people around the table.

The Playroom is OFSTED registered as a nursery and can hold up to 30 children.

This room is big enough to seat a maximum of 30 people theatre style or 4 tables with seating. However, as the name suggests there are toys and play equipment in the room on a permanent basis.

Tuesday and Thursday morning 9.30 - 11am

The Tower Drive Group

Mondays 9am - 3pm

Foundation for Parents

(Young Mums Group)

Wednesdays 9am - 2pm

Training room 2 is big enough to seat maximum 30 theatre style or again 4 large tables plus seats. This room is only available Thursday after 2pm all day Friday and evenings.

The Concourse Area

Is used every Friday by the United Reformed Church & Methodist Coffee Club at 10 - 11.30 am - everyone is welcome.

The Concourse is a very large open space and can hold up to 80 people standing/ maximum of 40 if seated. Users should be aware that this room provides access to other meeting rooms which could be in use at the same time.

There are a further two small rooms available for hire (evenings only)

Also on the ground floor is a small kitchen available for refreshments tea / coffee making facilities are available at 25p per cup. (provide your own tea/coffee/milk/sugar). Preparation of hot food is not allowed.

We can hire out equipment for your meetings :- Flipchart easel, powerpoint projector and an overhead projector are available, but will need to be booked in advance. You will need to supply your own flipchart paper and pens.

First Floor

There is only one room available for hire which will seat a maximum of 16 around a table.

On both levels there are toilet facilities including disabled toilets. There is a lift to the first floor, however, arrangements have to be made with Admin beforehand.

Users can hire an Overhead Projector; Powerpoint Projector; Flip chart easel.

All users are asked to complete and sign a Booking Form including our Terms and Conditions of hire and are expected to abide by these conditions. Users are invoiced at the end of a calendar month.

As a user at least one member of the group should be responsible for 1st Aid and be aware of Fire Exits. Any new groups are invited to meet with a member of the Admin team and will be given a tour of the building and shown the 1st Aid points, Fire extinguishers and exits. We ask that all rooms are left in a neat and tidy condition.
